1. Write an explanation of your brief: What did you have to do? How did you come up with the ideas for this project?
Through out this project I have experiment with different styles and techniques used to make typography, I have analysed and interpreted artists techniques such as Si Scott, Hebok Lee and Vladmir Koncar.
To finalize my ideas I create mood boards and t-shirt initial ideas to make my ideas come together and help me develop my t-shirt design.
2. Write about the creative 'journey' of the project: How did you project and ideas evolve from start to finish through experimentation and research?
On my creative journey to make my t-shirt I had to figure out how I would transfer my final typography text onto my t-shirt, I chose to heat press. I had to create a mood board to gather my ideas together and use images of t-shirt designs I liked from the internet. When I had all my ideas together I could see what direction I wanted to go in and what text to apply onto my t-shirt, which was a song lyric.
3. Who inspired your final outcomes? You MUST talk about who has inspired your work, and include images and links of/to them!
The main insperation for my final design was Si Scott his use of 'swirl' movement on the letters and how the text were laid out, which I thought I could interpret into my text. He doesn't use alot of colour in most of his typography which allows all the focus to be on the unique, hand crafted and hand drawn technique. However I chose to interpret his style but design my typography final design on Illustrator.

4. What saying or expression did you use? What technique did you use? Was there a link between your materials and the words used? What was it?
My expression for my final outcome was a lyric from one of my favorite songs which was "That's just the way it is." I chose a simple font which I edited on Illustrator, I placed the letters where I thought best and used the 'swirl' and 'warp' tools to get the Si Scott style effect. The technique I used and the effects some people may not see a link but out of the artists I researched Si Scott style reminds me of fantasies and movement, which I think links to my phrase "That's just the way it is" basically when things happen in life that's just the way it is!
5. What do you think you have done well? What has worked? Are you happy with your final outcome?
I think I interpreted the artist of my choices unique style of typography well for my final out come but tried to add my own style twist on it. Even though I think the text and the 'swirl' effect slightly worked well, I am not happy with my final outcome because I feel like I could of used my imagination more and refined my idea better.
6. What do you think you could have improved in your final outcome? There will be something - nobody is perfect!
To improve my final outcome I think there's a lot I could of done. Firstly I would of chose a phrase that I could of linked the typography style with better and had a connection, secondly maybe add some color to make the typography stand out on the t-shirt more. Finally I instead of heat pressing my outcome I would of cut out big stencil letters and spray painted, so that the typography would fill the majority of the t-shirt.
7. Conclusion: Overall how did you find the project? Would you like to complete more typographic work in the future?
Typography helped my learn how to use Photoshop and Illustrator because I've never used them to edit things before. Overall I did not like this project, however when I saw my final outcome I thought of how I could of change a lot of things which could of helped me get a better outcome which I liked.
